Dubai International Airport

Dubai International Airport (IATA: DXB, ICAO: OMDB) (Arabic: مطار دبي الدولي‎) is the primary airport serving Dubai, United Arab Emirates and is the world's busiest airport by international passenger traffic. It is also the 3rd busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic, the 6th busiest cargo airport in world and the busiest hub for the Airbus A380. In 2015, DXB handled 78 million passengers, 2.51 million tonnes of cargo and registered 403,517 aircraft movements.

Dubai International is situated in the Al Garhoud district, 2.5 nautical miles (4.6 km; 2.9 mi) east of Dubai and spread over an area of 2,900 hectares (7,200 acres) of land. The airport is operated by the Dubai Airports Company and is the home base of Dubai's international airlines, Emirates and flydubai. The Emirates hub is the largest airline hub in the Middle East; Emirates handles around 65% of all passenger traffic and accounts for about 45% of all aircraft movements at the airport. Dubai Airport is also the base for low-cost carrier flydubai which handles 11.6% of passenger traffic at DXB. The airport consists of three terminals and has a total capacity of 75 million passengers annually. Terminal 3 is the second largest building in the world by floor space and the largest airport terminal in the world. As of January 2016, there are over 7,700 weekly flights operated by 140 airlines to over 270 destinations across all six inhabited continents.

Dubai International Academy

Dubai International Academy is a school in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a private institution run by Innoventures Education, representing over 80 nationalities. It opened its doors on September 10, 2005 with over 500 students from 55 countries. The school offers the Geneva based International Baccalaureate (IB) – Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Dubai International Academy currently has over 2000 students. Dubai International Academy is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Students of the school have gone on to attend some of the world's most prestigious universities, including Yale University, Cambridge University, Princeton University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the London School of Economics.

DIA is known for its Model United Nations conference known as DIAMUN. It is a THIMUN (The Hague International Model United Nations) affiliated conference. DIAMUN 2012 focused on the theme 'Sustainability Through Development'.

International Academy

The International Academy (IA) is a high school with its main campus located in Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan, with additional campuses in White Lake Township, Michigan and Troy, Michigan. It is a public, tuition-free school of choice for students across Oakland County. Students are required to earn both high school and International Baccalaureate (IB) diplomas. According to IA, 93% of the Class of 2012 earned IB diplomas, as compared to the world average that year of 78%. According to an article from 2004, 88% of enrolled students go on to earn IB degrees.

Foundation

The school was founded at the initiative of Lambert Okma, who proposed the school in 1992. Okma previously taught economics at Bloomfield Hills Lahser High School. International Academy opened in August 1996 with Okma as principal, and the school had its first graduates in May 2000. The school is officially hosted by the Bloomfield Hills School District.

Okma retired from his position as principal at the end of the 2008-09 year, though he continues to work as an IB consultant for other districts.

Dubai (/duːˈbaɪ/ doo-BY; Arabic: دبي‎ Dubayy, Gulf pronunciation: [dʊˈbɑj]) is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and is one of the seven emirates that make up the country. Dubai has emerged as a global city and business hub of the Middle East. It is also a major transport hub for passengers and cargo. By the 1960s Dubai's economy was based on revenues from trade and, to a smaller extent, oil exploration concessions, but oil was not discovered until 1966. Oil revenue first started to flow in 1969. Dubai's oil revenue helped accelerate the early development of the city, but its reserves are limited and production levels are low: today, less than 5% of the emirate's revenue comes from oil. The emirate's Western-style model of business drives its economy with the main revenues now coming from tourism, aviation, real estate, and financial services. Dubai has recently attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects and sports events. The city has become iconic for its skyscrapers and high-rise buildings, in particular the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Dubai has been criticised for human rights violations concerning the city's largely South Asian workforce. Dubai's property market experienced a major deterioration in 2008–09 following the financial crisis of 2007–08, but the emirate's economy has made a return to growth, with a projected 2015 budget surplus.

Dara Daivari (born April 30, 1984) is an American professional wrestler currently performing on the independent circuit as Shawn Daivari. He is best known for his work with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as simply Daivari and with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) as Sheik Abdul Bashir.

Early career

Daivari grew up admiring Mick Foley and Bret Hart. His childhood hero was Shawn Michaels. He participated in his first professional wrestling match at age 15. He started his career in the upper midwest independent scene. He is known for representing Iran for international title matches

On October 19, 1998, Daivari appeared on Nitro as a fan being interviewed by Mike Tenay.

He appeared on the February 26, 2003 episode of Explosion and wrestled a tag team match against Mike Sanders and Glenn Gilberti with Ken Anderson. He also appeared on the October 5, 2003 episode of Sunday Night Heat as Shawn Daivari, losing his match against Tommy Dreamer. He also made four appearances for independent promotion Ring of Honor (ROH) between April and July 2004.
